New Functionality - ability to send email to only event participants

Many of you have asked for the ability to send emails out only to people who are participating/attending a specific event. This was a great suggestion and today we released this capability.

On each Event page you will now see a "Email Participants" button, just below the event description (see image). When you click on that, a pop-up window will appear and allow you to compose your email which will only be sent to Qlubb members who have 1) RSVP-ed "yes", 2) RSVP-ed "maybe" and 3) task assignees.

It's a great way to notify event participants of new files, new details, new tasks, and any changes without subjecting other Qlubb members to the email "spam"

We hope you like this new functionality - let us know what you think. Twitter about this new functionality!

Thanks for the new feature.

I'd suggest a similar featire: the ability to establish subgroups of members.

For example, rather than have separate qlubb sites for each graduating class of a school, why not have one qlubb site for the school as a whole, but with the ability to assign members to a specific graduating year (2006, 2007, 20008, etc.).

Then one can choose to send out an email or schedule an event for just the 2008 alumni, for example, or to the all the alumni of the school.

This would eliminate the need to maintain multiple qlubb sites for the school.

Also, it would be nice to expand the "Messages" feature to show the message (or at least a portion of it followed by "more") below the subject line.

I know this probably doesn't fit in this thread, but not sure where else to put suggestions.

Actually, I think what I'm actually requested is that Messages be in threaded format (along with showing the body of the message).

Or, if not showing the body of the message, then including a button that allows one to expand the (threaded) messages to show the body of the message.

Also, this is not really very clear:

Qlubb Email List Behavior

This setting determines who receives Qlubb email list replies. (e.g., email to
qlubbname@qlubb.com)

When a Qlubb user replies to a qlubb list email, the reply email will be sent

X Only to sender

X Only to sender to this Qlubb's email list (all subscribed members), default

----

what's the difference between the two options?
